| Job Description | ISS International (http://www.iss.lv) is an English speaking company operating in UK, US and Latvia. We are application service providers who not only do provide the technical resources and experience to deliver highly scalable world leading e-commerce web applications, but also offer our international clients full post-launch services. At the moment we are looking for a Software Development Manager who will:
Participate in establishment of architecture and technical standards that are utilized across the technology organization • Provide overall technical leadership to multiple development teams, be accountable for their performance and productivity • Responsible for the assessment and hiring of additional development staff. • Establish development objectives and project timelines; set goals for the work group and develop organizational capability • Interact across the organization with Product Management, QA, IT and the executive team, communicating developments progress with each project • Ensure that software can be deployed effectively and reliably to QA and production • Support Project Management by ensuring development estimates are accurate, technical designs are sound, development resources with the correct skills are assigned to projects, holds his/her team accountable to follow the established design and development standards and that they deliver on time and with quality • Contribute to new products/product features being evaluated and defined within Product Planning and Management by providing input on technical feasibility and complexity |
| Qualifications | • 7+ years in software development experience
• 3+ years in lead, project management, or software management experience • 3+ years in web and internet technology • Experience managing development projects of all sizes and complexities, including large, enterprise systems • Strong knowledge of various platforms, the agile software development life cycle and agile product development methodologies and programming languages • Strong communication skills oral and written • Ability to work in a fast paced, growing environment • Ability to work with remote technical teams • Excellent organizational skills; excellent interpersonal skills We offer: *Challenging, exciting, 'world first' projects *A young multi-national English-based team in Riga, Latvia *Care and dedication from the management team and your colleagues - we're all striving to achieve the common good *Salary - to attract the very best, additional benefits |
